Your tasks, your iCloud.
Last updated · September 1, 2026
Zoro stores your tasks on your device and syncs them through your own iCloud. We never see them. We don't collect your email, we don't require an account, and we don't track what you write in the app. There is no advertising and no analytics on task contents.
How sync works
Sync is free — on every tier. Zoro uses Apple's CloudKit to sync between your iPhone and Mac through your iCloud Private Database. Sync happens entirely between Apple and your devices. Zoro's developer cannot access your CloudKit Private Database.
What Zoro stores on your device
- Tasks, projects, statuses you create in the app
- App settings (theme preference, last-used view)
- Local cache of your CloudKit data for offline use
What Zoro does not collect
- Email address (never asked)
- Name (never asked)
- Phone number (never asked)
- IP address (not logged)
- Device identifiers tied to your identity
- The contents of your tasks (never sent to any server)
- Usage analytics on task creation, completion, or edits
Third-party services
The Zoro app uses Apple's services only — no third-party SDKs:
- Apple CloudKit — used for syncing between your devices through your iCloud. Zoro's developer cannot access your CloudKit Private Database. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store — processes purchases and subscriptions. Apple handles payment; Zoro only learns whether your Pro entitlement is active. We never see your card details, and no other payment processor is involved.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist on this site, your email is stored in Tally and our own email list (separate from the app). It's used only for: (a) announcing TestFlight invites, (b) the App Store launch announcement, (c) responding directly if you reply to us. No marketing email, no third-party sharing, no resale. Unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.
Children
Zoro is rated 4+ and safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
Data retention and deletion
Because Zoro stores no task data on its own servers, deleting the app from your device removes the local cache. To delete your CloudKit data, go to Settings → Your Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Zoro on your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post a notice in the app's settings.
